Who are we?

C.E.F Asbl, was founded on 01/07/2008 under the initiative of a group of people among many agronomists, developers, teachers, and nurses who came to understand the great danger of the lack of enough development skills can cause.

Most of them are responsible personnalities in their respective families, among many we list parents, households (farmers, breeders, fishermen and beekeepers etc.) in the village of “Bakechi”, which village is located in the sub-county of “Babungwe” in the territory of “Tanganyika” situated in the great region of “Fizi”/South Kivu Province/DR.CONGO

Our Motivation

To alleviate poverty & Contribute
to the development of th community

With so much fertile land and its disposal , this territory has a potential to feed both North and South Kivu provinces. Agriculture is one of the major activities ran to strengthen the capacity for food security and nutrition and to develop sustainable agriculture in south Kivu province.

Limited access to learning in this territory has put the lives of so many youths at risk, especially the girls with early pregnancy. We are facilitating the education of many adult through various training and hand-on skills so that the community will have a large number of trained people .

C.E.F has has been providing running different income activities to support the development of people in the community. These have been be the main source of income for households, to cover their needs throughout the year, or a dry season activity to generate complementary income.

Our Vision

To be a viable national/international structure, mobilizing the means for the development of families and children in rural areas by supporting their livelihood by protecting forest, lake and fishery ecosystems, etc.

Our Mission

To support families and children in their agriculture, nutrition and livelihoods by reconciling them with the environment for a rational management of resources.

Areas of Intervention

CEF Asbl, is a local organization which has three (3) areas of work: Food Security and nutrition, and Livelihood, Protection of the Environment and Protection childhood.
